My daughter and I just spent the day with Dr Lizzie and 20 other little equine enthusiasts to learn equine emergency first aid. It was one of the best investments and a wonderful afternoon we had spent learning how to care for our much beloved furry friends. Dr Lizzie had us all captivated and we cannot emphasise how incredibly useful we found this course.

Dr Lizzie spoke and demonstrated so beautifully and had such wonderful energy. Highly recommend anyone who owns a  horse to do this course for peace of mind and encourage Pony Clubs to have Dr Lizzie run this course for their members. Thank you Dr Lizzie, you are amazing!

Susan Berryman

What a great workshop! Throughout the day we were given the skills to work out what our horses normal baseline looks like, how to identify when it's not quite right and how to communicate valuable information to the vet.

Having the tools to act if something goes wrong, or how to investigate when my horse is not quite right has given me so much confidence to care for her. There was a real sense of pride as we all successfully completed tasks including health assessments, putting on bandages and correctly identifying where to give injections.

I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who owns or works with horses, or just has an interest in learning to care for them.

Harriet Spakman

I highly recommend Dr Lizzy and her workshop! I learnt so many valuable skills to help me feel better prepared for when an equine emergency pops up. Not only was the workshop very informative, but it was also hands on, which gives you practice in assessing and performing first aid on your horse in a stress-free environment. Thanks Dr Lizzy for an amazing day!!

Libby Franz

I found Dr Lizzie to be an engaging and eloquent speaker. Her information was clear and thorough. There were so many real life explanations rather than a clinical delivery. I learned some great tips on bandaging and products to use. I think this course is a must for all horses owners.

A busy day on Sunday at the Equine Emergency Response Training with Dr Lizzie McCready from Empowering Equine Education. A great day was had all round, with a great opportunity for the humans to upskill and refine existing skills, especially in times of emergencies!

Huge thank you to Dr Lizzie for bringing her expertise and training to Tassie and helping bridge the gap between owners and veterinarians! Learning skills to help your vet help you in times of crisis, and of course help your horse.

Such a valuable learning opportunity for all who attended. I certainly can’t wait to learn more! The skills learnt could very well save a life! For the love of the horse! Five stars!

Kate Denny

A day spent with Dr Lizzie learning all about emergency first aid for horses is such an amazing experience. All horse owners need to attend this as even after decades of horse ownership and dealing with some impressive wounds there was so much I learnt.

Thank you Lizzie for empowering us to be the first line of defence for our animals, especially with the vet shortages and the lack of options we have here in Tassie!

Kirsten Kuns

I participated in an Equine Emergency Response Workshop with vet Dr Lizzie McCready. Think First Aid Training for horses. It was a really good day. Learnt lots, picked up useful techniques and feel a lot more definite in my ability to manage a horse “health” emergency.

Even after many decades of working with many different horses - can always learn. And given how thin our valuable vets are spread it’s good to know you can help your horse correctly and help the vets when they have to prioritise their time.

Daphne McNeill

On Sunday I attended the Equine Emergency response training, a really great day, Lizzie has found a perfect way to make learning not only enjoyable but very informative, for the experienced or inexperienced.

Studying veterinary nurses would find this invaluable, so complimentary to their studies. Hands on with a group of beautiful people only made the day better. Thank you, looking forward to more.
